Fish oil contains EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Both are Omega-3 oils. EPA and DHA keeps blood from clotting too quickly and have anti-inflammatory activity. DHA is essential for vision in infants. Fish oil may also help prevent some types of cancer. Conditions that Omega-3 may support: angina, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Crohn's disease, diabetes, ecezema, high cholesterol, high blood presure, painful menstruation, migraine headaches, osteoarthritis, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis. Fish oil is easily damaged by oxygen, of a few milligrams or IUs of vitamin E should be included in all fish oil supplements.
