Green Lipped Mussels are harvested from the shores of New Zealand and contain a unique polysaccharide known as mucopolysaccharides. More commonly called glycosaminoglycans, these long chains of sugar molecules are found throughout the body and in fluid around the joints. In New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel uses CO2 extraction for the naturally-occuring mucopolysaccharides as well as trace amounts of chondroitin sulfate and vitamins and minerals.
